2.4 Group 3 Daily Summary
Today we had some fun.
We looked at 3 activities: Spanish Artists, Hindi video with questions
created on PlayPosit.com and a Chinese WeChat video from Xiaowei. All of the activities show promise for our
online classrooms.
We completed a participation rubric for an online course and
prepared ourselves for tomorrow’s synchronous meeting on Google Hangouts. That meeting will be about transitioning the
class that we saw on video into an online course.
We are starting to read better in Russian and completed a
really fun colors lesson, a Voice Thread talking about what languages we speak
well, not so well, and poorly (I hope I got that right). Finally, after listening to a SoundCloud audio
file, we filled out an info gap activity.
In the activity we listened to our boss tell us about scholars coming
for a conference. We completed a city of
origin table, and then shared our answers in Russian with our partners by
phone, or on Google Hangouts. We also
stated in Russian which scholars were from the same city. The video chat feature on Google Hangouts is
worth it!
